Alexis Goldberg is an associate attorney in the firm’s litigation group. She represents clients in probate and trust litigation, including breach of fiduciary duty claims, petitions to remove fiduciaries, accounting disputes, and estate and trust assets disputes.
Alexis’s professional legal experience began in 2007 when she graduated from law school in Mexico. Her career spans 19 years of practice, including extensive work as a paralegal and associate attorney in both the U.S. and Mexico. She began her legal career working at a cross-border law firm, where she served as an associate attorney on Mexican legal matters and provided paralegal support on U.S. matters. She later gained extensive experience at a full-service law firm before focusing her practice at a trust and estate litigation firm. Throughout her career, she has represented clients in a wide range of trust and estate disputes, including breach of fiduciary duty claims, petitions to remove fiduciaries, accounting and asset disputes. Her background also encompasses experience in estate planning, trust administration, education law, family law, and general civil litigation, as well as representing U.S. clients with probate interests in Mexico. She joined her current firm as an associate attorney in the litigation group.
Alexis grew up between San Diego, California, and Tijuana, Mexico. After graduating from high school in San Diego, she earned her Licenciatura en Derecho degree from Universidad Autonoma de Baja California in Mexico. She later completed her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Comparative Law at the University of San Diego School of Law, further strengthening her cross-border legal expertise.
In addition to her legal practice, Alexis is dedicated to legal education and sharing her knowledge of the U.S. legal system with Spanish-speaking attorneys and students. She serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego School of Law, teaching in the LL.M. in Spanish program, and has served as a guest lecturer at Universidad Anahuac Merida School of Law. Her dual licensure and extensive experience in both countries allow her to provide a unique comparative analysis, enriching her students’ understanding of U.S. law.
When she is not working, Alexis loves to spend weekends with her husband and two kids at the pool and visiting the Balboa Park museums. She also enjoys going to concerts, the theater, and comedy nights.
